01 — Drains

Drain Cleaning

Slow drains rarely fix themselves, and pouring another bottle of drain cleaner down there usually just buys you a week. We run a cable or hydro-jet depending on what's actually clogging the line — grease, hair, roots, whatever it is — and clear it back to bare pipe, not just far enough to flow again.

Most calls we're in and out inside an hour. If the same drain keeps backing up, we'll run a camera and tell you honestly whether it's a one-time fix or a bigger problem underneath.

  • Kitchen sinks, bathroom sinks, tub and shower drains
  • Main line clogs and floor drain backups
  • Cabling and hydro-jetting, whichever the line needs
  • Camera inspection if it's a repeat offender

02 — Hot Water

Water Heaters

Tank water heaters generally last 10–15 years, and they rarely give you much warning before they go. If yours is popping, leaking from the bottom, or just not keeping up anymore, we'll tell you straight whether it's worth repairing or time to replace it.

We install both traditional tank units and tankless systems, sized to your household, and we haul the old one away when we're done.

  • Tank and tankless installation
  • Same-day replacement in most cases
  • Pilot light, thermostat, and element repairs
  • Sediment flush and maintenance

03 — Emergencies

Burst & Leaking Pipes

A burst pipe doesn't wait for business hours, and neither do we. If you've got water where it shouldn't be, shut off your main valve if you can find it and call — we answer 24/7 and burst pipes jump straight to the front of the line.

Slow leaks are just as important, even if they feel less urgent. A stain on the ceiling or a soft spot in the floor usually means water's been getting in for a while, and it only gets more expensive the longer it sits.

  • 24/7 emergency response
  • Pinhole leaks, slab leaks, and full pipe bursts
  • Water damage assessment and pipe tracing
  • Copper, PEX, and galvanized repair

04 — Fixtures

Toilet & Faucet Repair

A running toilet can waste hundreds of gallons a day without you noticing, and a slow drip adds up on your water bill faster than people expect. These are usually quick fixes — a flapper, a cartridge, a worn washer — but only if the right part goes in the right place.

We also handle full fixture swaps if you're upgrading a faucet, replacing a toilet, or dealing with something too far gone to patch.

  • Running toilets and flapper replacement
  • Dripping and low-pressure faucet repair
  • Fixture installation and replacement
  • Wobbly or loose toilet reseating

That drip isn't going to fix itself.

05 — Sewer

Sewer Line Work

Sewer smell, multiple drains backing up at once, or gurgling toilets when you run the washer — these usually point to the main line, not a single fixture. We run a camera first so you're not paying to dig before we know what's actually down there.

Old clay and cast iron lines in this area are especially prone to root intrusion. Depending on what we find, that might mean a cabling job or a section replacement — we'll walk you through it either way.

  • Camera inspection before any digging
  • Root intrusion clearing
  • Main line clogs and backups
  • Section repair and replacement

06 — Whole-House

Repiping

Homes around here built before the 80s often still have galvanized pipe, and it doesn't fail all at once — it rusts from the inside, so pressure drops and water discolors gradually until one day it just gives out. If you're patching the same section every year or two, repiping is usually cheaper in the long run than repeated repairs.

We plan the route to minimize cuts into drywall, work room by room, and patch as we go. Most whole-house jobs run a few days, not weeks.

  • Whole-house and partial repiping
  • PEX and copper options
  • Minimal-damage wall access planning
  • Drywall patch coordination

Why Us

Who you're actually calling.

Dale Rutherford, owner of Hermitage Rapid Plumbing

"I started this company in 2008 out of the back of one truck, doing side jobs after my shift at a bigger outfit across town. I'd grown up around here, and I got tired of watching neighbors get quoted double what a job was worth because somebody figured they wouldn't know the difference.

Eighteen years later it's still just us — two trucks, a handful of guys I trust, and the same phone number I started with. We show up, we tell you what's actually wrong, and we fix it. That's really the whole business plan."
